We will initially interview
you to discover your needs, goals, current strategies and current
processes. Then we develop a web design proposal based on our recommendations.
If you accept that proposal, we have a contract and usually, a
payment plan that we implement. We are generally paid an initial
deposit, and then in installments until completion.
You will receive no actual mock-ups of screens until a contract
is signed, though we will include a content map of
all pages and site map in your proposal.
You will be presented
with several designs to choose from, then we will work with you
to develop the perfect look for your site. We do consult with a
usability expert when developing your navigation. We also look
at the personality
types of your visitors, crafting
strategies to reach them.. We gather content and analyze your brick
and mortar sales process, to bring it to the web. We develop funnels
to help move your visitors to action points that we define together.
We'll look at your sales process and goals and then develop the
action points from there. The web design evolves and grows to its final
incarnation as your content is developed, rather than trying to
fit your content into a design. Every element should have a purpose and
contribute in some way to your goals.
The building process includes
writing code that relates to your content. We also test in as many browsers
as possible. We code using the most practical scripting for your project.
We might customize
open source software for you. You might need Flash work
done. You might need your orders to print to your shop. You might need
special inventory integration for ecommerce. You might need your content
to rotate. We'll work with you on that. We want the user experience to
be optimum, so we work towards crafting content with the user interface
that will speak to your visitors, tell them who you are and what you do
as clearly as possible. We have found that the words that the visitor might
be thinking are more effective tools to provoke action than any other.
So while we will think about and craft your code, interface and copy to
be search engine friendly, our goal will be to get your visitor to act.
We'll try to discover what words -they- use and what they are looking for
when they visit you.
When everything is working and looks good
in as many browsers as possible, we'll let you know it is time to launch.
We work to make sure launch is smooth, no email is lost even with a DNS change.
After launch you might need training on how to use your admin or special
templates we have made for you. We do that. For 30 days after launch,
you get priority time to make sure you are happy and comfortable with your
new system. We even offer testing to measure your ROI and can make adjustments
to your site as needed in order to offer you the maximum conversion rate
and return.
